Universities in Canada

Canada has a wide range of universities. Students from all over the world can choose either from small universities with less than 1000 students in rural areas, or big universities with more than 35 000 students in urban areas in many different places of the country.

Canadian universities are publicly funded and are known for its high quality which is equal to universities in the USA or other Commonwealth universities. There are traditional schools like University of Toronto or University of British Columbia (UBC), which are high up on the list of the best universities in the world, however it is little difficult for international students to get in.

International students usually tend to choose smaller universities or university colleges which offer language and academic preparation as well as diplomas and degrees. Some universities also cooperate with ESL schools on Pathway Programs and with colleges on Transfer Programs.
